6 Best Alternatives to the ATKMAYI Rechargeable Hanging Dehumidifier (2026)

How each alternative compares

Wisesorb 800g Rechargeable Silica Gel Dehumidifier

The Wisesorb 800g model offers a larger 800-gram silica gel capacity compared to the ATKMAYI’s unspecified bead weight. It measures 4.25 x 4.25 x 5.75 inches and weighs 1.76 pounds, making it slightly bulkier but potentially more effective for heavier dampness in gun safes. Like the original, it is rechargeable and features a visual indicator. You should choose this if you need higher absorption capacity in a compact form. The ATKMAYI unit is thinner at 1.5 inches, allowing it to fit into narrower gaps. Both use passive silica gel technology, so neither requires electricity during operation. The Wisesorb option is a solid budget pick for users who prioritize capacity over minimal thickness.

Pro Breeze Osmo Non-Electric Moisture Absorber

The Pro Breeze Osmo is significantly larger, measuring 9 x 5.7 x 5.7 inches, and uses a non-electric design. It lacks the rechargeable heating element found in the ATKMAYI unit, meaning you cannot regenerate the desiccant beads with power. This makes it ideal for spaces without power access, such as closets or cabinets. The ATKMAYI model is much smaller at 4.8 x 4.8 x 1.5 inches and uses a 25W heater for regeneration. The Pro Breeze unit is heavier and takes up more shelf space. If you prefer a completely passive system and have room for a larger unit, this is a practical silent option. Otherwise, the ATKMAYI offers faster regeneration and a smaller footprint.

Hornady Rechargeable Silica Gel Dehumidifier

The Hornady dehumidifier is designed specifically for gun safes, measuring 8.5 x 5.25 x 2.25 inches and weighing 1 pound. It is rechargeable and includes a visual indicator, similar to the ATKMAYI. However, it is longer and thicker, which may not fit as easily into tight, narrow spaces like stacked books or slim wardrobe rails. The ATKMAYI unit is only 1.5 inches thick, allowing for better placement in constrained areas. Both use silica gel technology for silent, passive moisture control. The Hornady model is a premium choice for dedicated firearm storage. If your primary concern is fitting into very tight spaces, the ATKMAYI’s slim profile is superior. For standard safe interiors, the Hornady offers reliable, specialized protection.

Wisesorb 6-Pack 120g Reusable Silica Gel Bags

The Wisesorb 6-Pack of 120g bags provides a different form factor, consisting of six separate pouches rather than a single unit. Each bag measures 3.5 x 1 x 4.7 inches, allowing you to distribute moisture absorption across multiple small areas like drawers or shelves. The ATKMAYI unit is a single, rigid device that hangs or sits in one spot. The bags are rechargeable but require manual handling for each pouch. This option is better if you need to treat several small, scattered spaces rather than one enclosed area. The ATKMAYI offers a more consolidated solution with a visual indicator on a single device. Choose the Wisesorb bags for flexible placement in tight, irregular spaces where a rigid unit cannot fit.

Wisedry 500g Rechargeable Silica Gel Bags

The Wisedry 500g pack offers a high-capacity, non-electric solution for larger spaces like basements and garages. It weighs 2.2 pounds and measures 5.12 x 0.79 x 7.28 inches. Unlike the ATKMAYI, it does not use an electric heating element for regeneration, requiring manual reactivation. The ATKMAYI unit is smaller, rechargeable via plug, and features a 25W heating system for automatic bead drying. The Wisedry model is better for users who prefer a completely passive, low-maintenance approach in larger, less sealed environments. The ATKMAYI is more suitable for smaller, enclosed spaces where controlled regeneration is preferred. If you need to cover a larger area with multiple units, the Wisedry packs provide substantial absorption capacity without electrical dependency.

Avylo 25oz Compact Peltier Dehumidifier

The Avylo 25oz Peltier Dehumidifier is an active unit, unlike the passive silica gel technology of the ATKMAYI. It measures 5.03 x 5.03 x 8.38 inches and weighs 2.2 pounds. It requires electricity to operate its Peltier cooling system, which condenses moisture into a water tank. The ATKMAYI uses no power during absorption, only for regeneration. The Avylo unit is larger and generates some noise, though it is designed to be quiet. It is better for rooms where you need active dehumidification rather than just moisture absorption in enclosed spaces. The ATKMAYI is ideal for closets and safes where power is unavailable. Choose the Avylo if you need to reduce humidity in a larger, powered space like a bedroom or RV.
